A practice that kept my body fit and, more importantly, my mind in balance.
Yoga has been a part of my life since I was a teen. I found the practice during a time when I needed healing, both emotionally and mentally. Yoga classes offered a space to process my emotions and reconnect with myself. Over time, yoga became not just a practice, but a path toward strength, peace and self-compassion.
As life unfolded, I became an elementary school teacher and later a mother to two amazing boys. As they grew into teenagers, yoga became even more essential as a space to return to myself amidst the beautiful, sometimes chaotic rhythm of raising a family. It continues to help me stay patient, centered, and present, both at home and in the studio.
In March 2023, I opened Haven Yoga. Haven is a space lovingly created to share the transformative power of yoga. My hope is that every student who walks through our doors feels supported, seen, and inspired to grow in their own practice. I’m so excited to continue building this community together and can’t wait to welcome you to the studio.

A daily practice of fluid movement and mindful meditation.
My practice of yoga began in 2018, when I took a week off from work and family life. I went to a beloved, quiet place in Vermont where I intuitively began to look inside and explore alternative ways of living and being.
The constant in this week off was a daily practice of Fluid Yoga in the vinyasa tradition. I found a deep sense of presence by practicing intentionally fluid movement and mindful meditation.
Since those days of exploration, I have continued to learn and deepen my practice of yoga and meditation. I find yoga provides me with a sense of calm, peace, letting go and being present. Breath and breathing have become central to my practice. Yoga has grown beyond the mat and has become a lifestyle, a way of be-ing.
Kristin received her 200-RYT certification through the Fluid Yoga School led by Jennifer Frey at Newfane Village Yoga in Newfane, Vermont.

Heather is a 200-hour RYT who began her yoga journey with Baron Baptiste in 2009 before completing her 200-hour teacher training with The Yoga Shop in 2011.
Heather was first drawn to yoga as a way to find balance and clarity in her life. What began as a physical practice quickly evolved into something much deeper—a space for stillness, reflection, and self-discovery. Over time, yoga became a grounding force that supported her through life’s transitions, teaching her to meet challenges with grace and awareness. The physical strength gained along the way became a welcome bonus to the mental and emotional growth the practice offered.
Her teaching style is joyful, mindful, and intentional, helping students feel grounded and safe in their bodies with a strong focus on alignment and form. Heather strives to create an inclusive space where each student can explore their own practice at their own pace, cultivating both strength and inner calm.
Heather’s regular classes include Power and Energy, where she blends movement, breath, and mindfulness to help students feel connected, present, and empowered—on and off the mat.
I came to Haven during a time when I needed grounding, connection, and a safe space to grow. What I found was a community that welcomed me exactly as I was and supported who I was becoming. My work as a Registered Behavior Technician has taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and meeting people where they’re at, values that align perfectly with Haven’s heart-centered approach.
Yoga has become a way for me to breathe deeper, soften into presence, and reconnect with myself. As a teacher-in-training, I’m passionate about creating inclusive practices that honor each individual’s body, story, and journey. What inspires me most about Haven is how it empowers people to return home to themselves, through movement, breath, and community.
I’m grateful to be part of a studio that values authenticity, kindness, and continual growth.
Jason is a 200 hour RYT.
I started practicing yoga in 2020 while living in Maine and finishing my senior year of college. With the world shut down and very little space or equipment, I turned to online yoga videos as a way to move, breathe, and stay grounded. What began as a simple at-home workout slowly became something much deeper.
A few years later, I discovered hot yoga and instantly fell in love. The music, the energy, the heat, and especially the sense of community drew me in and kept me coming back. When I found Haven in the summer of 2025, I knew I had found my yoga home. Haven has given me connection, support, love, confidence, and a feeling of belonging that extends far beyond the mat.
To me, yoga is so much more than exercise. It’s a way to connect with your body, your breath, others, and the world around you. As a teacher, my goal is to help others find that same sense of grounding, growth, and perspective that yoga has brought into my life.
Abby is a 200 hour RYT.
I began my yoga journey as a way to deepen my physical strength and flexibility. I quickly learned that yoga is all-encompassing. At a time when I needed clarity and peace, yoga allowed me to look within to bring a calmness to the chaos of life. The Haven studio has become my sanctuary, its members have become my family.
Having worked in the human services field for over twenty-five years, I have a belief that all people are capable of personal growth. I have a desire to assist in bringing out the best in each individual, through physical, mental and emotional wellness. My yoga style uses vinyasa flows that bring out strength while holding space for vulnerability.
